Benjamin was a lieutenant in the Union Army during the Cival War with something of a distinguished career. I am looking into it.
Benjamin and Catherine Dora are in both of the above pictures. The picture on the right is perhaps my most treasured find, and most cherished possession. It shows three, and probably more generations of the Dora family around 1904. Benjamin and Catherine are on the front row with their very handsome family behind. George Lindley McCollough is on the back row, third from the right. Olive, his daughter is in front of him with Louversa, Olives mother and Mable her sister to the left of her. Click on the image for a closer view and notice the girl on the far left. The gentleman behind her has his arm around her in an unusual display of affection for this time period. Also the girl on the far right is wearing an attractive pair of glasses.
